I would be nowhere without my friends

It's absolutely true. I had always heard the term, "It's not what you know but who you know" and like most of you I thought it was bullshit. As my life progressed however it happened again and again and again. As I approach my 40th birthday, (yikes) I've done quiet a bit of reflection. Every single time I got a job or needed an answer the best path forward was always because someone smarter than me was my guide. As I have traveled this winding road of being an author, that same rule holds true. As I have gained knowledge, I have gained friends who are far more important. Together we have become a force to be reckoned with. Others stand in awe. I'm not even exaggerating. I have watched friend after friend grow by leaps and bounds and by some miracle they have let me tag along and learn.
